Oh My words what a lovely tea/coffee shop. The staff are incredible and as for the cakes, they are to die for. For a great eating experience visit Pauline's Bakery. Absolutely fabulous.
Very popular tea room. Afternoon tea was really nice, sandwiches had great fillings which you could choose from cakes were very nice topped with a scone. The other dish’s are reasonable size cakes and sausage rolls are great also.
Lovely little tearoom! The staff were all really lovely 8/05 and the cream tea was delicious! The Scones were very soft and the jam was amazing and smooth. Reasonably priced as well I might add.

Stopped here for a Cream Tea pack, which serves 4. 4 scones, Rhodda’s cream and homemade jam. The scones are so soft and fresh with a lovely sweet jam. So many different fresh cakes to choose from which all looked delicious. The cream tea packs were so nice and such good value for money, I went back to buy more. Would highly recommend, such good value for money and great customer service.
I absolutely love their turnovers. They are not overly sweet and have a soft and fluffy texture that leaves a lasting impression. I also adore their scones, which are soft and delicious. Paired with clotted cream and jam, it's a perfect combination, creating a perfect afternoon tea experience. It has completely changed my perspective on afternoon tea, I never knew it could be this delicious.

Fantastic tea room. Lovely staff. Excellent value for money. The cakes are magnificent and the vegan pasty was proper tasty. The cafe is great. It’s like stepping back in time. One customer asked what the WiFi password was and the lady serving said “we don’t have WiFi”. wonderful. Eat your food and talk to the people you’re with. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Cornwall
Stopped off for lunch while in Newquay - food overall was really tasty with generous portions - scones were particularly nice! Young lads doing all their serving were absolutely rushed off their feet, couldn’t fault them at all! Very polite. We saw someone in the kitchen making scones singing their heart out, made me and my daughter smile. Would visit again, lovely little place!

Simply the best baguette in Newquay. Great fresh sandwiches, friendly staff. If they’ve run out of something they’ve made a fresh one for me there and then! Had two chocolate cream cakes from there as last minute birthday cakes and they are fresh and delicious. Place is an absolute gem!
After a unique tea-room?, this is the place. Takeaway sarnies, pasties, cakes and drinks on ground floor. But for a unique, step back in time to better times feel, then pop upstairs. Lovely people, service was excellent, never felt rushed. And very reasonably priced. I had a flashback to my childhood while enjoying a fabulous Kickerbockerglory. Pure 5*. I Loved It. I look forward to returning soon.
Came in for lunch while spending the day in Newquay - traditional rough and ready aesthetic but the food was very good and the staff who were mainly young lads were very friendly and helpful. Scones / Cream teas highly recommended.

By far the best scones and tea I have ever had. They also have some good sandwiches. Very friendly staff. 10/10.

Cream Tea for 2 included 2 homemade scones each, jam, plus as much clotted cream as you needed. The scones were light and tasty and with the cream on were beautiful. I struggled to walk past the cakes on the way out as they looked so good but as a compromise we bought a veg pasty and a Cornish pasty for another day and an egg mayo sandwich. I have to say, the veg pasty was amazing! Gorgeous taste.
This place is absolutely worth a visit. Staff very friendly and helpful and top notch food. I just wish we had been a bit more local and we would definitely have returned.
Oh, and to the person who said the scones were dry in a review, it's a scone. It's not supposed to be moist!!When I am looking for somewhere in Newquay to buy cake, Pauline's is always the first place I think of! And like many other locals, I'm not the only one to think like this! Fantastic selection of cakes and sandwiches on display, and a cafe upstairs too!

Came here for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. The food was so tasty, we had a Cornish pasty and an afternoon tea. The afternoon tea came with a sandwich of your choice, 1 scone with cream and jam, 3 cakes and then a drink of your choice. You could have ANY drink off the menu, so I had a chocolate milkshake with ice cream.
The service was really good, all the team we came across were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.- Service
